So small are we in a large empty space;
Tiny, insignificant, meaningless;
Everyone is there, every name and face;
But not the astronaut on the ISS.
However, we keep on, we carry on;
Tackling issues larger than a blue dot;
Not realizing that soon we’ll be gone;
Although it will carry on, that blue spot.
Overwhelmed by our small reality;
Confined by our inexistent blue wall;
With no exit since there’s no place to flee;
One blue mote of dust unable to fall.
Yet, we are lonely in the universe;
I’m not sure if it’s a blessing or curse.

Inspired by the Voyager 1 image of Earth. This image was taken by the spacecraft when it was 4 billion miles away. Carl Sagan's quote on the image was also used as inspiration.
