Purgatory
And yet I'm stuck here in purgatory,
A place not dead, but nowhere near alive,
Staying in one place, one thought, one story
The love that died is now what makes me thrive.
With this thought I'm alone and heartbroken,
Breathless I'm suffocating, hurt and lost,
Words that were needed now left un-spoken,
Left to search for something that I lost.
Once a moment of love and passion,
Now a lifetime of hatred and lost hope,
Left alone and broken with one motion,
Now left searching for revenge with a rope.
No feelings of sorrow only regret now,
Got away with it, but I don’t know how.
