Poisonous Love
Mascara tinted tears slide down my cheek
His painful spear-sharpened words make me weak,
His blunt lack of love for me breaks me down
I’m too fragile, in his sea I will drown.
He lured me in, and he knows that to do
I’m gravitated towards him with no clue,
I want to tell someone, I don’t know who
I’m just a doll in his game of voodoo.
But his face radiates a soft sweet smirk
When my eyelids shut, his essence still lurks.
His smile alone could light up the stars
The touch of his hand could erase my scars,
An angel and devil at the same time
Who knew that passion could be such a crime.
