Lock and Key
Sometimes words can't describe in simple speech
What heartfelt tempest shouts within my chest,
And in the darkness, hope makes home in sheets;
Eludes me just to point and call me blessed.
I wish for just one moment we could walk,
In absence of this dreadful life of fire
And find unearthly peace enough to talk,
For I'd unveil these deep and locked desires.
It's been so long that I forgot the code;
This combination lock requires art.
Oh God - I think it lives some place unknown,
Hidden deep in veins within my heart.
Perhaps it's just as well, and I must leave
And lock you in my heart eternally.

Have you ever locked youself out of the house by leaving the key inside?
(This is a Shakespearean style sonnet about burying your feelings so deep, that the key falls down with them, never to be accessed again...)
