The Lost Friend
I was remembering the days
The time we were together
Fighting over little issues
Our tears, smiles and laughter
I was remembering the days
Eating the lunch in same plate
Fighting for that last little bite
And you got that by your fate
I was remembering the days
When you organised my surprise birthday
And that precious beautiful watch
You gave me that day
It was still in my hand
Waiting for someone to say
"Its looks pretty you know"
Like you said that day
Misunderstandings had ruined our love
Our ego stopped us to contact
My eyes were waiting for you
My hands were anxious to chat
One day, I received a letter
I opened that with fear
"Your friend died last night"
Written broadly in that letter
Two tears trickled down my eyes
Making that letter wet
And I wished from God
In Heavens we shall met
