I was returning back to home

On a chilly cold night

Feeling cold winds

Despite wearing jeans and tites

Drowned in thoughts

I was driving on wide street

With some pedestrians walking

And the street clean and neat

My eyes stopped on a sight

At once my heart beated so fast

And my hands shrieked

And car stopped with a jerk at last

A dead kitten was lying on footpath

Crossing its legs over abdomen

Chilly weather caused its death

Or may be killed by a man

I thought it ran far and wide

Searching a place to hide

To protect from cold

But did'nt get and died

O that poor little kitten !

O the blindnedd to care and love

Protect the animals dying of cold
