I Am, I Am, I Am Not
I am confused and lost.
I wonder what my identity is.
I hear the shouts of different opinions.
I see confident loud people.
I want to know who I am.
I am confused and lost.
I pretend I am a leader.
I feel the confidence rise up in me.
I touch the microphone and prepare to speak.
I cry as I realize I’m scared.
I am confused and lost.
I understand I will one day find myself.
I will stand up for what I believe.
I dream of the difference I will make.
I try to discover my identity.
I know I am strong enough.
I will one day be found and sure.
