Sonnet
I really love to wake up next to you.
I go into the kitchen to make food,
I’m brewing coffee, making breakfast too.
I’m trying not to talk about our feud,
And you don’t bring it up because you care.
A good-bye kiss before you go to work,
I text you during lunch with thoughts to share.
And even though you come home late, you jerk,
I still love you because you’re here with me.
Our fights end up with laughter every time.
I wish that you would stop correcting me,
And then our perfect world would be sublime.
Your big blue eyes will always let me know,
Why one like me will always love you so.
