The Violin
Thy beautifully polished wooden wear
With fine strings all tuned to the perfect tone
Whose bow made from silky, long, white horsehair
Thy glistening varnish brighter than throne
When bow meets string a heartfelt song is heard
A song full of life’s sorrows and delights
The song that none can beat, not even song birds
A romantic melody in the night
Thy notes sing so high angels can hear thee
So pure and soulful, giving hope to all
As the music slows one cannot help plea
Please do not cease thy song lest I will fall
Hark! Captivated by this enchantment
Played by the majestic string instrument.
