The Setting Sun
La Salle how great you were to me these years,
The daily laughs shine through to always last.
Each day you're bright and never cause me tears,
You're like the hue in tone and pass too fast.
Your lights begin from east to west each week.
Alarm clocks ring and youth are unamused,
And nights are late with work while A's we seek
But like in winter warmth is far enthused.
The wisdom learned will last for years to come
And impact life with good like heat does earth.
Each class was taught with no such thing as glum
The friends we made were meant to form from birth.
Yet soon to different cities we will part,
The sun you are forever in my heart
