I'll Stand
My heart beats, and my eyes see, and I'll stand-
Stand through the moments that we all cherish.
My heart breaks, and my eyes cry, but I'll stand-
Stand through the times where hope seems to perish.
My stomach's full, smile's fuller, and I'll stand-
Stand through the family that warms my soul.
My stomach hurts, my smile's gone, but I'll stand-
Stand through the sickness that plagues me untold.
My lungs breath, and my voice sings, and I'll stand-
Stand through the joy that I feel all around.
My lungs gasp, and my voice shakes, but I'll stand-
Stand through all of the uncontrolled breakdowns.
Life's like a mountain; it goes down and up.
I'll stand through the hate to get to the love.
