“Night of Furies” written by Talea Khawaja is about the independence of Pakistan. The story starts in 1946 in a small family in India. She wrote “There is news that four thousand people died. Hindu and Muslim in equal numbers.” Then they made plans to travel to the west. Talea wrote that the next day she had awoke to screaming and then she was grabbed by her mother and taken to the roof to escape. The story jumps to 2017 where she talks about the independence of Pakistan and that her mother, grandmother, and brother had survived. She proved this when she said “I thought my brother had died but with  The story was interesting and their was never a dull of boring moment.
