No Bone To Pick With Fishbones
Fishbones Cajun Creole Restaurant, located on Milwaukee Street, has a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that it brings to Delafield, Wisconsin. The mix of purple, gold, and green lights along with decorations and mementos from the south make you feel like you are in the heart of Louisiana. The breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Nagawicka 365 days of the year adds to the wow factor of this restaurant.
The smell of delicious spices blesses your nostrils as soon as you walk in the door. All of the food from Fishbones is made from scratch, and you can tell. Start off with their crispy fresh fried grouper strips and don’t forget to dip them in their house-made cajun remoulade sauce. Their most popular dish, the Rajun Cajun, is a pasta dish exploding with flavor. The mixture between the cajun cream sauce and the chicken and andouille sausage produces the perfect harmony of flavor and heat. For those more interested in comfort food, Fishbones has burgers, pasta, and home-cooked favorites with a twist. With that, you have tons of choices of original specialty drinks and top-shelf liquor for the over 21 crowds. Try the Nagawicka Swamp Water, an electric blue drink with watermelon liquor, Titos, and blue curacao. Based on the local Lake Nagiwicka in Delafield! Sure to pair with any entree. And save room for dessert too, Their famous key lime pie with fluffy homemade whipped cream just melts in your mouth. With seating arrangements inside and out. The newly renovated outdoor patio is set up with igloos and heaters to provide a beautiful option for seating in the winter. In the summer you can bask in the warm sun or enjoy the shade of the large patio overlooking the lake. A long handicap-accessible ramp invites all to come. These igloos are decorated for Christmas, making them perfect for romantic dates and large get-togethers.
Fishbones has food to accommodate any style of eating: Gluten-Free, Keto, Vegetarian, all while using healthy fresh ingredients. Great style and unique art also line the painted colorful walls. Greens, blues, purples of all shades are mixed together with white painted fish bones making your experience unforgettable. The artwork is done by a popular local artist Steve Drager. All art is special to Fishbones, you will never see art quite as you do in this restaurant. With extremely friendly and helpful staff, this is a great choice for any food fanatic who is looking for a vacation without leaving the state. The Baton Rouge of Wisconsin will leave you wanting to come back for more.
