The house on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros was a good book to read because they were short stories so you don’t get bored also I feel its more of a female kind of story.

This book is about a Mexican family with a daughter named Esperanza who moved to a house on Mango Street. The stories in this chapter book are short stories. The stories are about Esperanzas life and situations she’s been in. Esperanza doesn’t like that she feels poor because of where she lives and cant wait for the day that she could leave and be in her own house.

If you like reading but don’t like long chapter books “The House on Mango Street” would be the perfect book for you to read.
