When I first saw 13 reasons why I thought it'll probably be better than the t.v show so I gave it a shot. In the book, Hannah Baker is a girl who committed suicide she makes 13 tapes to explain why she did it and who was the cause of it. Clay Jensen gets the tapes in the mail and listens to it on a recorder that he's using from a friend. While he listens he's filled with confusion and anger. He's also wondering why he's on the tapes but most importantly why she killed herself.

Hannah Baker is a girl who's always happy until someone put her name on a list. Her life became miserable filled with trouble and drama. She creates 13 tapes narrating her story giving them the reasons why she committed suicide. Clay Jensen is the next to listen to her tapes, he secretly liked her and felt like he let her down while listening to the tapes. He hears all her troubles and how much she suffered during the past years.

When I thought this book was gonna be better than the book I totally was. The author Jay Asher did an amazing job in the book. It showed so much imagery and description and showed how much a person can go through. the book shows a powerful meaning like the happiest people can be the saddest. I highly recommend this book if you love mysteries.
