The Adoration Of Jenna Fox is about a girl named Jenna who is a 17-year old girl who was moved to California after the major accident. This accident put her in a coma for a year. After she wakes up from her coma, she finds out the secret her parents have been keeping. Her dad lives in Boston where he invented Bio-Gel. She lives with her mom and grandma in California. She is eventually well enough where she can go to school. She makes lots of friends at school, one of which may be a little more than just a friend. She even makes a best friend. Allys is a girl who is different like Jenna. One day, Jenna was messing around in the kitchen and she got hurt. Little did she know she would find something not right. When she asked her parents what was wrong with her she had no idea they would have done this to her. Jenna has some memories of Boston before she moved, she remembers friends she had, but she doesn’t know why she hasn’t seen them. When little pieces of what happened to her are revealed she realizes she never should’ve been so curious.

Mary E. Pearson did an amazing job writing this science fiction book. She added plenty of plot twists to keep the story going. I really enjoyed reading this book because it made me want to keep reading. Some parts in the story had me intrigued because there were some plot twists. Overall, I really liked this book, and I would recommend it to people in grades 5th-9th who are looking for an exciting and good book to read.
