Death is an inevitable sequence humanity has not discovered a cure too. We are blinded from the end, and that is what keeps us sane. They Both Die In The End by Adam Silvera gives us a unique perspective on two teens, Mateo and Rufus, being told they could die any second of the day. I'm not a reader, but this book really caught my attention for the duration of the fifteen minutes of reading time during class. The Idea of this book is what caught my attention. The unique idea of Death-Cast is terrifying if you think about it. Being told you're going to die any time within 24 hours is true fear, and to add on they never fully get to live out their lives since they're only teenagers, which adds on to the fear. This book falls under the genre of young adult fiction and gives the readers a perspective on two teenagers dealing with the inevitable concept of death.

They Both Die In The End starts with 18 year old Mateo Torezz being told he has 24 hours to live from Death-Cast. He wants to spend his last day to the fullest and goes on this Last friends app, where he meets Rufus Emeterio who is 17 years old. They talk and are hesitant of each other, but meet up and spend their last day together. Mateo is haunted by death, he is hesitant with doing anything slightly dangerous, with the possibility it might end his life. Rufus comforts Mateo, which makes Mateo less concerned about losing his life. This book makes me question to myself, Am I strong enough to accept death? The mental strength you're going to have to build in order to accept death seems impossible to me.

They Both Die In The End has a beautiful and dark message. From what I got from it was, we can not avoid death, it is an inevitable thing bound to happen. But one thing we can do is live life, the feeling of living life comes from the idea of dying. You don't understand the true feeling of life, unless you're going to die. There is a balance of life and death, they are both beautiful and cannot happen without one another. Adam Silveria gave us a unique perspective on death with They Both Die In The End.

This book is an emotional roller coaster, with romance, action, and fear. If you are interested in unique concepts similar to death then you should check this book out.
