Heart of a Champion by Carl Dueker
I didn't like to read. Until Mr. Gillman recommended a book called heart of a champion by Carl Dueker. The book was about a boy about 15 who loves the game of baseball. If this story was about baseball, then it might be right down my ally. The boy who by the ways name is Seth, had a friend named jimmy who was the same age as Seth a taught him everything he new about baseball. He also had a bad drinking problem and got in a car accident and died.
This story inspired me to stick to things that you like even if your best friend dies or something. Seth did exactly that. Plus, he didn't let the thought of that get in the way of it.
