Have you ever been accused of something that you didn’t do? Well, Stanley Yelnets has been accused of stealing a pair of shoes from a famous baseball player. Stanley is a teenager from the book Holes written by Louis Sacher.

One day Stanley was walking on the sidewalk when all of a sudden random shoes come flying out of nowhere and hit him on the head. The police saw him and stopped him. They asked him questions and arrested him for stealing the pair of shoes, which he did not. Stanley gets sent to camp green lake, a camp for bad boy. When he’s there he starts having vision of the people that used to live there about 100 years ago. Then he starts remembering what his grandpa tells that his great grandfather got stranded in the middle of now where, which is camp green lake, and he survives for a week. No one knows how he survived but he said that he fund refuge on god thumb.

I really enjoyed Holes. I think it’s a funny mysterious book. I liked how the author switched from stanlets story to the people that used to live there. And how the two stories tie up at the end of the book. I think that I’m going to read more books written by Louis Sacher. If you like reading realistic fiction books that are funny you should read Holes.
