The book I chose to review is A Child Called It. I chose to review this book because I really enjoyed reading it. I felt as if I could feel all of these things happening. I read this book because my sister had told me it was a good book. When I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down. It was very well written and very detailed. I really enjoyed reading this book.
Description and summary of main points
This book is about a child that is emotionally and physically abused by his biological mother. She would make him clean the house, call him names, and sometimes hwouldn't’t get anything to eat. The child tells his school nurse and she takes notes on the bruises, welts, and scrapes. After they get to bad she calls the cops so they can search further into it.
Evaluation
I thought this book was a fantastic book. Some parts I found a little difficult to read because of the graphics. But, I loved this book. It was very well written and had a lot of details.
Conclusion
The book has a great ending. I’m not going to give it away though. He has been physically, mentally, and emotionally abused. The book is a phenomenal book to read, although some nights I found it hard to sleep thinking that somewhere out there this could be happening to a child.
Your final review
The book is a good book to read if you’re in the teen years and up. I wouldn’t recommend a ten year old reading this book because some parts they might find too hard to read. I loved feeling as if I was there. The book has so many graphics, details, etc. It is one of the best books I’ve read so far.
