Death and the Girl he Loves by Darynda Jones
Why must the world always be in need of saving?
Why must saving it always fall upon one person?
Lorelei McAlister is a prophet. Weird, right? But it’s true. She is destined to save the world and stop a catastrophic war before it even happens.
There’s just one problem: Lorelei has no clue how to save the world.
Surrounded by faithful friends, a nephilim created with the sole purpose to protect her, a loving family, and the Angel of Death, Lorelei is determined not to let the world down. Death and destruction follow in her very wake, but Lorelei won’t back down. She has to learn to face the fact that powerful people want her dead, and that everywhere Lorelei goes she is putting someone she loves in mortal peril. Lorelei must face the facts.
You can’t run from the end of the world.
