Enders game book review

The movie Enders Game was a very entertaining movie. Compared to the movie I thought that the book was better because it explained more than the movie. The movie didn’t have all the other teams against dragon army. If you asked me the book was way better than the movie. If you’re a person that likes visuals than you will still like the book better than the movie because the author’s words help you visualize the movie in your head. The characters in Enders game were Ender, Mazer Rackham, Graff , Petra , Bonzo , Alai, Bernard, Valentine , Bean, Dap, Peter , Dink, Stilson, John Wiggin (dad), Theresa Wiggin (mom), and Major Anderson. Enders game took place in a space training aircraft. Ender has a famous quote in the movie, which actually is the theme of the book, which is “ its not about winning it’s how you win”. The Movie is similar to the book in a lot of ways, but the only thing the movie is missing is all of the training and fights Ender went through. To me Ender seemed different in the movie because in the book they made him sound innocent and quiet, but in the movie he kind of sounded stuck up and rude. Why did Ender sound rude you might ask, well when Ender was talking to Commander Dap he kept questioning him so he had to do push ups. The movie was missing multiple parts from the book the parts that were missing was the part when Ender broke Bernard’s arm, and when the dragons challenged all the toons, because in the movie they went from their first toon to the salamder toon. Another famous part in the book that they forgot was when the toons would call each other fart faces. So many parts in the book were missing in the movie.
If I had rate this book out of 10 I would rate it an 8. The reason I would rate it an 8 is because the book overall was a great book. The things I liked about this book was that in the book the author explained the book very well, and in the book it explained everything with a lot of thought and creativity. I took 2 points off because, it might of been just me, but when they were talking about the giant and how ender killed the giant when he was a rat just confused me. When I watched the movie I then figured out what they were talking about. In the movie everything was great, I think my favorite part was when he was in the zero gravity room. To me that was the best part because in the book its just words but in the movie you actually see all the obstacles and to me that’s better. There are some parts missing to the movie, like the part Ender beats up all those boys in a hall. I think the director took that part out because in the book, the words were so descriptive, about how the blood splattered all over the place, so the director wanted to keep it pg.13. Another part that they took out was the part that all the people from the dragon army ran out of the showers with no clothes, I think you know why they kept that part out. I think the author and director of the book and movie were great choices for both.

To me the book is better than the movie. If I were you I would read the book if you want a more enhancing experience of Enders Game. If you finish the book and are confused on some parts then watch the movie, but the movie compared to the book, is like Gameboy compared to an x box 360. To me if you read the book, your one step ahead of all the people that watched the movie. Your wasting money by going to the movies spending all that money on food and your ticket, in that case just go buy the book and enjoy. So in other word just read the book because you’ll love it way better than the movie, trust me.
