Do you want to read about summer fun? Then read the book Massie - The Clique Summer Collection. My opinion on it was I liked how the series is the summer collection and all the girls are out on vacation, away from each other and each book is from a different person's perspective. Basically Massie in the book is trying to find something to do for summer, since she got kicked out of an expensive, exclusive riding camp. Her parents were also mad at her so they took away her credit card until she paid the money back to the camp. So she is not only trying to find something fun and repetition worth doing, but she's also trying to find a “jobby” (hobby job) to make up the money and not look desperate/poor as she thought.

This book is 123 pages long. Some important characters are Massie, Massie’s mom and dad, and some LBR (loser beyond repair) people. In the middle of the book it’s about Massie doing her job and trying to sell beauty products for girls. She finds it hard considering she’s going to people who don’t wear makeup. But she finds a way, but it may not be the best because her way is to point out people's flaws and tell them what to buy so they feel good about themselves.

This book is perfect for teenagers (12-15) who like gossip-like books and a realistic fiction type of book. I liked it because it’s interesting to me to read how she lives - having a lot of money. I would also recommend this to a girl, not a boy because it’s like a chick-flick. Also I wouldn’t recommend this to a younger crowd because of some of the vocabulary in the book younger people may not know. The writer uses more of a emotional voice.

I think the characters are believable and realistic. Also it is well organized, she tells in order how Massie’s summer went. There is not really a whole lesson that you learn from the book, but there are some moments that readers can think as a life lesson and learn from it. An example from the book is Massie got kicked out of a horse camp from glueing someone to a saddle on a horse- which wasn’t the main thing that happened and the author did not really mean it for the moral of the story but someone could look at it as a lesson learned. Overall, I liked this book and would recommend it to my friends.
