Would you like to see ghosts in your new house? No? Yeah me either... In goosebumps #1, Dead house, you will find very thrilling tales about a girl named amanda and her brother, Josh. They have just moved into a house in Dark falls and they do not like the house even one bit . Now I know I am not suppose to be writing a summary about this book, so now I am going to state what I do and do not like about this book.

I liked very much how R.L. STINE used very descriptive details. He used a lot of descriptive words to describe characters and their feelings. This improves the book because it makes readers, like me more interested in the book. And it keeps them from getting bored and not paying attention to what they are reading. Basically he uses descriptive words to keep readers on the edge of their seats.

I also enjoyed how he used his point of view. He made it from the first person’s point of view and included details on what they were thinking. Like the following quote “He can be really stubborn sometimes. I felt just as unhappy as josh looking at this dark, old house.” This includes her feelings about Josh being stubborn and it does not leave you hanging with what she is thinking. You can easily see what the first person is thinking about and it helps the reader understand more clearly about the characters thoughts and feelings.I believe that R.L. STINE is a very talented author, and has very good, unique skills.

There is really nothing to love about this book it is all very good, talented work. I have the knowledge that this was the first goosebumps book and it was a very good kickstart to the goosebumps series.
