Jason, Piper, and Leo are three young teens. They are not just regular young teens. They are demigods, but they don’t know it yet. Jason wakes up on a bus holding a girls hand, and the only thing he knows is his name. He has no idea who Piper or Leo are or where he is going. Almost like somebody completely erased his memory. Piper is a delinquent who never did anything wrong. She just asks for stuff and she gets it. She could ask a complete stranger for a car and she would get it. Then after a few minutes that same stranger would call the police and Piper would get arrested. Leo, he loved to build things. He keeps his hands busy whenever he can, he fiddles with little trinkets in his pocket. He always got into trouble. The three of them are headed to a camp for teen delinquents. But when they are attacked by something none of them have ever seen before their entire life changes forever. Now the three of them are sent to camp half-blood to uncover the truth about them and to stop the earth goddess Gaea from waking. With the help of friends Jason, Leo, and Piper go on a wild adventure to put the earth goddess back in her place and save the world. Will they succeed, or will Gaea suck them into the earth and drown them in it?
Rick Riordon`s attempt to continue the Percy Jackson series is phenomenal.  His writing had me at the edge of my seat. I love the way he took the prophecy from the last book of the Percy Jackson series The Last Olympian and put it in his next series. I recommend this book to anybody who loves Greek mythology and Percy Jackson. Riordons writing is very powerful and lets Greek mythology come alive, and helps you understand it better.
The Lost Hero is wild and adventurous. It made me want more. Riordon has done it again. This book is a must read and will have you on the edge of your seat. I don’t even like fantasy that much and this book had me hooked on it.
