'An Abundance of Katherine's'
John Green
An Epic Road Trip
Introduction:
For 'An Abundance of Katherine's', I gave two stars. In my opinion, I didn't really like the book. No it wasn't the worst book I have ever read, it just didn't really catch my attention like it caught others. I still feel people should try the book. Lots of people like John Green books, I too think he is an amazing author, I just think that this wasn't his best book.
Description and Summary of Content:
After Katherine number nineteen, Colin becomes depressed and decides he will never find love. After talking to his parents, him and his Judge Judy loving friend Hassan, decide to go on a road trip, that will turn into an adventure they will never forget.
Evaluation:
'An Abundance of Katherine's' was written to entertain young adult readers with a interest in teen romance and adventure books. I thought it was a good book, but it wasn't the best I have ever read. I think that green had a great idea placed in his mind for the book, but I don't think he knew how to word it correctly. A lot of times it would lack detail, and at of times it had to much detail.
Conclusion:
Overall, 'An Abundance of Katherine's is rated 4/5 stars, however, like in the introduction, I gave it a 2/5 stars. In my opinion, I didn't really like the book. I do like some of Greens other works, however this one didn't settle with me very well. I thought it was rather boring. Although I do suggest people try it, just because I didn't like it doesn't mean others won't. Overall it was a good book, with a good plot, but didn't have enough.
