August Pullman the ten year old, doesn't look like us. He was born with a craniofacial abnormality. Usually when someone sees him they look away or sometimes run away. His friends and his family call him Auggie, and of course others make fun. This is all happening at a school on New York City.

August has been homeschooled his whole life due to his facial disease, but his parents decide to put him in a local school in the fifth grade. The reason why the parents are doing this is so August can make friends and socialize and learn how to be around people.

August Is brave He goes to school and finds that it’s much like he expected. A lot of people make fun of him when he isn't paying attention. All the kids at the school have a thing going around, and it's if you touch August you get infected.

Then there's Julian a lot of parents and adults like him and thinks he's a good kid but in reality we all know he's mean and two faced and makes fun of people. If you are in his friend zone them your fine, but if you aren't friends with Julian then he will be satan towards you. They were at a costume party and Julian started badmouthing August but never said it to his face, Julian is mean and twisted if you really know him.

August makes some friends. One of his good friends is Summer she likes him for who he is, she doesn't care what he looks like. There's also Jack, Jack was assigned to be friends with August. He was basically forced to be friends with August. Then something surprisingly happened, when Julian was talking about August and then Jack hit him in the face.
