This is my review of “The House on Mango Street “by Sandra Cisneros. I think people should read this book because it is a good story and is short. The main character is Esperanza’s is a Mexican girl who moves to a little, run down house on mango street and must struggle with the events and person’s in her neighborhood. What I like about this book is that it is not that long a story and is very interesting plot. What I dislike about this book is that they have a mini chapter of the main character Esperanza getting sexually assaulted. This book is good and I really recommend reading this book but, with the exception that the readers are 10 years of age or older because of the sexual assault scene that the main character is part of.
