If you’re someone who likes poetry, you'll really enjoy The Crossover. Its a story put together with different types of poems. For some readers this rhythmic realistic fiction will have you wanting more.

The Crossover is a book about Josh Bell and all his struggles that he deals with as a brother, son, and basketball player. At first, Josh and his family seem inseparable, but you’ll find out that his jealousy and ignorance causes them to slowly drift apart..

Each poem peice together to show how Josh identifies himself, and who it is that he looks up to the most. This book could be relatable for someone dealing with sibling relationships or even self struggles, therefore this book could be recommended to just about any age group. Overall, i think Kwame Alexander does a great job at taking the reader on a journey through a rough time in Josh’s life.
