The book “Thirteen Reasons Why” is one of the best books by far I have read it has breathtaking chapters that would leave you restless wanting to know what the next chapter would be about. Who would the next tape be about?. The characterization is strong it gives the readers a easy way to understand the character, accessible to jump into the character's body and understand them in their problems and why they act a certain way. The plot structure of Thirteen Reasons Why is not confusing however there are flashbacks throughout the story when Hannah is speaking about what is going on in her life and Clay Jensen can picture the moment where her life is slowly going downhill. Clay Jensen suffers throughout the story about how Hannah decided to finish her life. What any reader could learn about this book is to never judge someone you really don’t know even if you think you do because the person may be suffering through a lot because of the damaged made in the outside that can affect them harshly in the inside and make them start to believe on how bad they are and believe anything they are said true or not . Two of my favorite quotes that would take your breath away would be “I let this sound wash over me as I hold onto the bars and close my eyes”(Asher 281).The quote from Jay Asher is a strong quote because if you think about it’s actually true. As a reader everyone can understand how sometimes we need to learn how when someone tell us a few strong things we have to let that go with the flow and completely try to ignore it.

A second quote would be “But it’s more than just a scratch. It’s a punch in the stomach and a slap in the face. This quote is one of the most important because from a very small age people can relate to how what other did to them can affect them more in the inside than what others see on the outside. Rumors are and is a big part in life and in the story it  affects in many ways our self esteem affecting on how we think and feel about ourselves but we can’t really help it hearing about it.However, as a reader hope you enjoy this breathtaking novel about Hannah Baker.
