Encanto
I picked Encanto for this review because I like Disney movies and I like movies with songs.
The movie is about a teenage girl who did not get a magical gift. The rest of her family does have magical powers. Because she didn’t get a gift, she felt sad. One day, she sees the house breaking, but none of her family members notice. They think she is jealous of her cousin's new gift. She sets off to prove them wrong and find out what is happening to their magical house.
The story that the movie tells creates a good plot. A girl didn’t have a gift and wants to know what it is. Her family uses the gifts they have to help the community of Encanto.
The songs kept me interested while watching the movie. There are a lot of good songs in this movie, like “Familia Madrigal” and “Waiting on a Miracle”.
“Family Madrigal” is a good song. I hear accordions in this song and the tempo gets slower and faster, which makes it sound fun. Mirabel sings these lyrics about her family. She describes the family’s names and what their gifts are. The gifts are the family’s talents. The song was a catchy way to give background information.
“Waiting on a Miracle” is an enjoyable song because it makes me get into the rhythm. This song tells you about Mirabel wishing she had a special gift like the rest of the family. The song has waltz music. Some of the lyrics in the song repeated lines. This is a sad song because Mirabel didn’t get a gift.
I like this movie because it's my favorite Disney movie. I would recommend this movie because the music is entertaining and musical.
