Max Payne (Mark Wahlberg) is an edgy cop who finds the last murderer involved in the murder of his baby daughter and his beloved wife. He doesn’t care what obstacles he has to get through. He doesn’t care what people he has to kill to get to the bottom of it even if it meant his life.

It turns out that Max’s best friend BB (Beau Bridges) was the third and final man in the murder. When BB finds out that Max knows he was the final murderer, he sends out an entire swat team on Max through the entire building, but Max still gets through. BB is about ready to leave when max finally gets to the top of the helipad, which is located on top of the roof of the same building, and that’s where Max shoots BB. BB dies right on the spot. Max is let free because he killed a murderer and his boss let him off the hook because BB killed his wife.

I thought that Max Payne was really good. The movie shows that if you are persistent enough you can get through anything. The movie shows that crime doesn’t pay under any circumstance and that no one is above the law. I give this movie three and a half out of four stars.
