Raiders of the Lost Ark
“Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” is a great and original movie. It is fast-paced with a ton of action and adventure, like car chases and fist fights. It also has humorous scenes so you don’t get bored with the non-stop action. This movie got me hooked on the Indiana Jones series. (The other two movies are “The Temple of Doom” and “The Last Crusade”).
The movie opens with Indiana Jones attempting to obtain a valuable idol. In doing so, he ends up being chased through a booby-trapped cave. From that moment on, the action and suspense rarely slows as Indy pursues his quest to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis.
There are very few movies that I can watch over and over again, and this is one of those movies. Something that makes this movie such a timeless classic is that the special effects in this 1981 movie are just as good as the special effects we have today. This movie has made it onto the AFI top 100 movies of all time, and that is where it belongs. If you love non-stop thrills and action, then this is the movie for you.
