In Assassin’s Creed Rogue you dive deep into the French Indian War in the early American Colonies, and follow a young man named Shay Patrick Cormac through his dynamic story. Some of the about the game I talk about in this article are  How it fits into the series and its ratings, its storyline, and its reviews .

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is a historical fiction, stealth game that was released in November of 2014 By Ubisoft Montreal. It was released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC. Assassin’s Creed Rogue is the eighth in the 10 game series. The series has been going since 2006 when Ubisoft came up with Assassin’s Creed, a new type of game that no one had ever seen before. From there it grew to one of the most popular video game franchises. All of the games are rated M for mature because strong violence, blood and gore, and strong language, but you are able to turn off the blood and gore. IMDB gave Assassin’s Creed Rogue a 8.5 out of 10. Metacritic gave it a 3.5 out of 5. And IGN gave it a 6.8 out of 10. Assassin’s Creed Rogue is also the bridge to Assassin’s Creed Unity, which is the first next gen game in the series. Now that you know a little bit about the game ratings, and the series series, let's get into the game itself.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue has an almost addictive story line where it leaves you begging to know what is going happen next. The main character is named Shay Patrick Cormac. Shay was left an orphan on the streets of colonial New york in the late 1730s. From there he was adopted into the Assassin Brotherhood where he lived by the Assassin’s Creed. Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent, hide in plain sight, and never compromise the Assassin Brotherhood. As an assassin you are able to sail in Shay’s ship known as the Morrigan around the New York river valley and visit french settlements and also Mount  Vernon the home of George Washington. You also can sail and explore settlements in the North Atlantic. The only side activity you are able to do as an Assassin is battle other ships. Later on in the story Shay becomes a Templar, the biggest enemy to the assassins. As a Templar you are still able to visit the North Atlantic and River Valley also you are able to explore New York City. There is also a lot more side activities. Most of them are you are able to take over fort's, Capture strategic headquarters in different settlements and cities, assassin interceptions, quests for different types of armour, and hunting challenges. All of this is from the 1750s to the 1780s so it is during the French Indian war. Rogue also has really good gameplay which is similar to the previous Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, where you play as a pirate. Rouge has a very good storyline during a not so popular time in American history, so it is good that it teaches you a little bit about that using real people and cities which this game is a free roam game, so you can explore wherever you want. Rouge has a really good storyline, side activities, and game play.

Some of Assassin’s Creed Rogue’s best parts are. It is a new style of Assassin’s Creed where you play as a templar, playing as a templar has many advantages. It has good upgrades that make your ship unstoppable. According to some reviews it may be the best game in the series. Some downfalls are, it has the same format as the previous Assassin’s Creed kind of like they didn’t put much work into that part. The story ends where you really don’t want it to, because of how short it is, and it kind of ends where you are getting really interested with it. According to reviews other than a few downfalls Assassin’s Creed Rogue is a very average fun game.

In conclusion, now that you know the ratings, and the amazing storyline. also according to ratings Assassin’s Creed Rogue is a fairly average game that is well worth the money. So if you are interested in history, like to play video games, and have a sense of adventure I would recommend Assassin’s Creed Rogue to you.
