Blue is my favorite color. But it is so much more than a color. 

Blue exudes calmness, serenity, peace, and cool. It is the color of oceans, lakes, rivers, the sky, and bluejays. It reminds me of the water. Blue sounds like splashing currents and feels like soft, smooth sand under my feet. It mimics the stillness and tranquility of a mind that is as even as the ocean waves. In a sunset, it takes many forms and hues - the multi coloured shades of purple, red, and orange all reflect off the water. But the water itself is still blue at its core, its true nature is unchanging.

Blue is my zodiac - Cancer. Its animal is said to be the crab, which dwells on the ocean shore, scuttling here and there, hiding under its protective shell when in danger. In this way, Blue shines through in my personality - it is my curiosity and my safety. Blue reflects itself in my possessions too: my jacket, sweater, pants, backpack, shirt, and water bottle are all blue, they are all mirrors to my true personality. 

Blue reminds me of the moon and the night sky. It reminds me of ice on a frigid winter’s day, and the vast blue skies on a delightful summer’s day. 

Blue rules as the queen of cool colors, it moves like gentle water, it flows like cool wind, exists as a moonlit night. 

Blue lives in all and reflects all. Blue persists as the constant, unchanging: blue is infinite.
