"One day there will be a chance that you will say that you love one person and really mean it, but every day one person is at least loving you now." - Me

I don't understand why most people in the world don't like people of the same sex to be in a relationship. I'm bisexual myself and people come up to me and start critizing me because i am, but they dont understand that I'm special in my own way just like other ppl, no matter who they are.

Where I live the main population is gay, lesbian and bi people. In front of my school there are even people writing signs saying "God hates America and Fags are not welcomed here!" I am getting so sick of it! This is making us not want to come out and actually be us.

The government has no right to make laws saying that gays can not be married. God and government does not mix people! Get it straight! Some of yur friends might actually be gay, lesbian or bi, and would u not be there friend because of it? If you would, then you are messed up and not worthy of their friendship.

Leviticus,

All I am going to ask of you is to please be respectful of the opinions and emotions of others. Being close-minded will only get you so far.

I very much respect your opinion and agree that it is not very fair to tell someone they will burn, but I do feel the need to voice my disagreement with something else you have said. By some, such as myself, God is believed to be Divine Love, which is something that lives and thrives in us all, connecting every being--no matter their gender, religion, beliefs, etc, etc.

You have a very good point. It is great to show your opinion, but both sides of the argument need to come to a place of mutual understanding...or we will, in fact, get nowhere with it.

Though i must say, that i absolutely agree completely, i also have to disagree. By choosing one side and representing it, you're not seeing it both your and their point of views. Certaintly, no one has the right to tell someone to confrom to a cookie cutter idea of a person. In this ever enterprising world where more and more people are  increasingly open about who they are truly are, people have become defensive. So, by becoming angry you're the same as the people apozing your point of view. Because if neither side is willing to understand the other, than there is just bigoted hate.

I appreciate this article, because the author had the guts to speak her mind. Even though I don't agree with what she wrote, I respect her opinion. I also think everyone else should, because if we can't agree to disagree, we have gotten ourselves nowhere.

i give all readers of this article a hobson's choice would you rather be verbally abused or would you rather have the choice to speak out against discrimination. i'm not saying that being gay,les or bi is right. i'm simply saying that the first step to stop discrimination is to stop being one sided, discrimination does not only apply to gays, les or bi it apply to all ppl that have been hated, abused or wrongly judged for something that they believe in or said. i was just wondering how many ppl that commented want to stop discrimination? if you really wanna stop it the first step is to stop yourself from shutting what someone else expressed out of your mind, out of your ears, out of your one-sided perspective. the second step is to listen to others and give them the permission to express themselves. the first step is to stop yourself from shutting what someone else expressed out of your mind

I personally do not agree with you, but I have come to a point where I'm completely confused. My little sister recently told me that shes not sure if shes bi. Now the bible says its wrong. But this is my sister here. Should I tell her she'll burn in hell or tell her to be herself? Should I be a good Christain or a good sister? SO on your article I'm stumped.

Of people are not the ones that get noticed... Like you said, god loves everyone despite their religion or sexuality. It's people like Leviticus hat makes this world a more hateful place.

I wouldn't care if it didn't affect my family and I, but it does. Yes, you have the right to choose, but what you choose will affect America and our future children. I'm not willing to give you that power.

Exactly, ZeeBYoung! The bible is all about loving your neighbor like yourself. And when Je.sus was on Earth, he spent his whole time helping the poor, the sick, the shun.ned... and in today's society, the ga.ys certainly count as shun.ned people. Same with the constitution. Peace and Justice for all...

Exactly, ZeeBYoung! God's message is to love your neighbor as yourself... and didn't Jesus spend his whole time on Earth helping the poor, the sick, the shunned...? In today's society, wouldn't that count as gays? They are being shunned actively. The constitution is the same way- justice and freedom for all. Does that somehow not apply to gays because they like someone that is their same sex?

Gays should have rights because if everyone were to judge everyone we would start killing each other directly or not. And guess what we are.

Approximately 1,488 suicides per year are committed by homosexual youth

Sexual orientation shouldnt matter just like race. We as the human race should come farther than this.

Well you dont get paid to think.. Doesnt ur so called GOD love all people? Isnt it true that GOD created all life? so if its "SO WRONG" to be gay, or bi, or lesibian, then why isnt it wrong to be straight? It doesnt go against anything! & if you dont agree with this, mind ur own business!
