Charm of Night
Drink up the moonlight, oh dryad,
Before the morning comes,
And dries up the unshed tears
Of yesteryears.
Soak up the starlight, elfling,
Before the sun wakens,
And hides the ghosts of phantom light,
From days gone by.
Dance in the midnight, fairy,
Before the dawn breaks,
And lifts the mystery that pervades
In glitt’ring glades.
Hide from the sunlight, nymphheart,
Ere it dries out your soul,
And leaves you barren, a shell,
Mortal and frail.
