I heard a whisper in my head

Telling me I should be dead.

I knew I didn’t need to fear.

When demons are drawing near.

I try to run so far away

Somehow they catch up, every day.

They came at my head, my feet, my face

Trying to take away my faith.

There was a day I was alone

I heard a voice now known as home.

He told me that I shall not fear

For I have him, he’s always near. 

My heart went with the Lord that day

He made all demons run away.

Here I will stay, so wild and free,

Knowing the Lord takes care of me.

I always hear voices in my mind

Whispers that are now so kind.
