He isn't like any other
He isn’t like any other
Different from the rest
Not you’re usual Joe Smith
But see thing is I had him in my grip
But I let the reins slip from my hands and now I’m going on a trip
A trip down heart break lane
Because I lost the guy that was keeping me sane
I can’t go chase after him
His mind set isn’t the same
And pretty soon he won’t be the same guy I knew before
Not the guy who would give his life for the one he adores
He will be a stranger
A man I don’t know
Not only that
I’m becoming an artifact
I’m being preserved in his mind
His heart
And as he leaves me behind in history
Leaves me behind in time
He is a wounded solider
From a battle with me
He holds his head up and high
Like an all mighty king
Although he has scars on his heart
From where my love has beat him clean
There almost done healing
He’s almost over me
Soon I will be nothing but a faded memory
A memory that he no longer wants to remember
From the hurt and the sorrow
Even the happiness I brought
That war has already been fought
I left him wounded
And I feel hopeless now
Because I think this time he is really going
I don’t think he is ever coming back again
He’s going forward not reversing
Not even to see how I am dealing with these cold harsh facts
While his heart is living on
Mine is dying for his love
It feels like a thousands needles stabbing at my heart
And as I try to pull them out, they go deeper
They seep into my heart
Hitting every nerve and every vein
Bleeding
Making my brain signal this pain
This pain is deadly
And steadily I’m going insane
Because of this one guy
Who happens to be my drug
That I’ve been missing doses of
But truth is although we are on opposite sides of the battle field
I wave that white flag high in the air
To tell him that I am still here
But I want this war to end I surrender in the name of love
Because without the two of us
There really isn’t not other love…
