What a beauty
the hope, the idea,
the concept of love.
It glitters and gleams
deep in my dreams,
seemingly flawless
in its eminent elegance.
But the pursuit, the quest,
the longing –
less of an ecstasy,
more of an agony.
Elusive satisfaction dances
while prospects and chances
evade.
