For Cubes And Squares And Other Such Materials MAG
If you never knew the way I felt,
That would be all right -
And I would be satisfied.
You'll never know my tears the way the night did,
Nor the daydreaming smile sun always gives me,
You'll never know my dreams - or fears -
And I won't let you protect me, not ever.
If you never knew the way I walked,
Down the hall with my heart in my throat,
I wouldn't really care.
Because the fact is you don't, and the reason is you can't,
For I stand mute, with a smile on my heart,
If not on my face,
Knowing that the way life twists events
is for the better.
If you never know the way I feel,
My comrade, my hero, and all the above,
I don't really mind,
Your presence is enough,
And your smile, though not directed at me,
Gives me satisfaction for a thousand joys
