When Darkness Avails
Darkness tickles the sky
as the sun is pushed aside,
the language of the night whispered
throughout cold branches,
and ebony grass
It whispers haunting memories
and tantalizing temperatures
like the end of Autumn,
and the start of Winter
Everything is made of silence and dreams,
in which I invited the night
to visit me;
as my eyes close
and the night envelops me
in a comforting slumber
