Beauty's not something that should kill you
Size two?
No thank you
Perfect shouldn’t be a word
It’s something that’s never seen, just heard
See that girl looking at the magazine
I shout “Don’t look”, but she doesn’t hear my scream
Skinny models; one; two; three; four
Doesn’t it seem like a bore?
That they’re the same crazy size
With toothpicks for thighs
And you want to know why?
Anorexia, my dear
Something you shouldn’t love, just fear
To girls who have this, they get compliments they don’t hear
Don’t eat, just run
That’s an anorexic’s idea of fun
The skinnier they get, the less they panic
Until one moment when they sink like the Titanic
Don’t think Anorexia’s your friend
It’s something that should come to an end
Repeat after me:
Beauty is something you feel, not see

To love, to be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and vulgar disparity of the life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.”
