Brother to Brother
Well, bro, I’ll tell you:
Life for me hasn’t been an easy ride.
I’ve hit bumps,
And hills,
And ran out of gas,
In places you couldn’t imagine-
Rough places.
But all this time
I’m still riding on,
Searching for land,
Hunting for food,
Sometimes in the black of the night
With no light beyond the ashes of my cigarette.
So, bro, don’t start walking.
Don’t turn off that engine.
Cause you find it skipping a few times.
Don’t you give in now-
For I’m still riding, bro,
I’m still riding,
And life for me hasn’t been an easy ride.
