Born Again

I might be the one you fear,
I might be the one you hate.
I just know that I am here
I just know I am always late,
Late for life and late for love.
Very seldom can I ever escape
I know I need some help from up above
But I’m too just far too late.
I saw a light drawing near,
I heard a voice saying not to fear.
I came forth to Him and He looked at me.
I was unaware of where I was
Thought I was too late and too blind to see
But I saw clear as day.
I was being born again
