Two Toned

At school I am daffodil yellow.
On cue I am soft and compassionate,
Yet cheery and upbeat.
I offer words of wisdom,
And am full of boisterous laughter.
At home I am washed out grey.
Worn out and overlooked,
Relied on and used to it.
I am the faithful coat you wear when it rains
But that you never give a second thought
