Tearing Away
I tear away that which is me
To see why it is I bleed
I search through blood and seek through skin
To release what lies within
Darkness reaches my bloodstained hands
It makes them dance and play in sand
It makes them tear and strongly rip
They cry to stop but are soon whipped
They are made to disassemble
They are forced to shred while I weakly tremble
My hands they dig and scratch
They claw through pain and find peace to snatch
My hands do not grow tired
They work as though recently hired
One pain soothes another
While no pain could solve the other
I hurt myself to distract from what I feel
I ache but from a different pain I reel
I feel the stress and expectation
But diluted by flowing of crimson sensation
