Remember
I look at the picture and smile. The one I carry with me always. I never lose it. I never could. You're so hard to forget. How is it you can keep my heart wrapped around your finger when you want nothing to do with me and I only pretend to? You and I do the same. Never speaking to the other. Never doing anything but mere glances. We don't dare more. You fear what you believe is anger. I fear your selfish disregard for other's feelings. Hey, can I help you a face of self-interest? The picture is one of you with that smile on. The one showing you can care. I just have to close my eyes'then there it is. All I have to do is remember it.
Because I'll never actually see it again.
