I am from a family where
Christmas at my aunt’s and Thanksgiving at my grandma’s.
I am from making Oreo truffles for Christmas and
snagging the biggest Christmas tree.
I am from decorating the house for holidays.

I am from summer softball and fall football.
From gymnastics in the winter and more softball in the spring.
Year round softball and baseball take up my families time
And leave little room for other hobbies.
From sports twenty-four seven and running around all day to games.

I am from growing up in two families and going to my dad's every other weekend.
I am from going to my grandparents’ blue house on my dad's weekends,
and from seeing my little brother only on my dad’s weekend.
I am from going back to school shopping with my grandma
and getting our nails done before schools starts.

I am from going on vacations but only two road trips.
I am from family game night once a week and a family Packer game once a year.
I am from being a growing up to be a sports fan,
and playing watching many sports.
This is where I am from.
