Fading Away
Everyone asks if you're okay,
But do they ever care what you have to say?
All they want you to do,
Is smile, say you're alright,
Even if you feel that you've nearly lost your fight.
They way people talk to you,
Its primarily because they don't know what to do,
About the sadness that's within,
They can see into your mind,
But hardly understand your kind.
They don't understand that you're not okay,
Nor that their presence has made the day,
But you'll smile with them just the same,
Because who they thought you were is gone,
And the façade nobody can see through, is on.

Feeling nothing everyday is hard, but we will smile anyways just to seem 'normal', right? Fit in, laugh when you are supposed to. Be a puppet.
